Tattoos

Modern ink is usually safe; cosmetic tattoos and older black ink may contain metal. The team may suggest a test patch or alternative protocol.

Piercings and jewellery

Metal in the scan field can move or heat up. Remove piercings where possible and report anything that cannot be removed.
